I forgot to take a before picture, but I PROMISE you that the entire oven glass looked like the gunk on the outer area of the glass. I purposely decided to clean only the center to see just how clean the glass would come after using my natural concoction.

Here’s what I used to clean the glass:
Baking Soda and Peroxide
I used enough baking soda and peroxide to make a paste. I applied the paste to the center of the glass, laid a towel over it and let it set for about 45 minutes (til it was almost dry).
I removed the paste and set it aside and used a green scrungy pad to remove the remainder of the baking soda mixture. I then used plain water to remove the film that was left on the glass.
You can probably see that you can actually see the reflection of the microwave (which you definitely could not see before).
I’m going to add more peroxide to the baking soda tomorrow and try another layer to see how much cleaner I can get the center section. I’ll let you see the result after I have finished.
I am so excited to be able to clean my oven glass without harmful, smelly chemicals . . . and very little elbow grease!
Have you tried a natural cleaning mixture in your home?
